Eye Movement Desensitisation and ReprocessingEye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing is a form of therapy that aims to decode and resolve psychological problems that have transpired due to a traumatic experience. The after affects of a traumatic experience such as an accident, death or attack can lead to the development of serious disorders that can encompass and consume quality of life should it not be addressed and resolved.
The therapy was developed in the late 1980's by the American Psychologist Francine Shapiro, after she researched the potential link between eye movement and desensitisation.
